Welcome to the Alano House of SW Michigan

The Alano House of SW Michigan was established in 1967 as a non profit organization to support recovery from alcoholism.

Located near the shoreline of beautiful Lake Michigan in Stevensville, MI, along SW Michigan’s iconic “Sunset Coast”, the House serves the recovering alcoholic, their families, friends and the community, as well as visitors from across the country.

The direct impact of these grants are profound. The building is now safer and many maintenance issues were resolved such as sealing the building and restoring rotting structural elements. The real value of these grants is rooted in service. The grants empower the Alano House of SW Michigan to fulfill it’s purpose – To provide a safe environment that supports recovery from alcoholism and serve the community.

Interior Design and Furniture Upgrade

The interior lounge and entertainment area has undergone a significant design and furniture upgrade recently, October, 2024. The result of the upgrade has made a positive impact. The design is more aesthetically pleasing and comfortable as well as more functional. A more intimate area has been created by the north window that includes a new table and chairs offering a warm and inviting atmosphere. The upgrade also includes a new 65″ TV, new oversized couch, 2 club chairs with ottomans, end tables and electronic fireplace.
We are grateful to all who participated in making this upgrade become a reality.
